Man United star Matheus Cunha showed off his street football skills in Brazil as he dinked the ball past two opponents

Matheus Cunha appears to be chomping at the bit to light up Old Trafford after showing off his dazzling skills during a kickabout in his hometown in Brazil.

Cunha completed his £62.5m move to Manchester United from Wolves earlier this month and is now enjoying some downtime ahead of pre-season.

He has headed back to Brazil for a summer break, but could not keep himself away from the football pitch for long.

The 26-year-old has shared footage of himself joining in a five-a-side kickabout in his hometown, Joao Pessoa, and it is fair to say he stole the show.

His Instagram story begins with Cunha introducing his friends who he is playing with alongside the caption ‘missing the ball’.

He then posted a photo of himself holding up a football while smiling as he added ‘it (the ball) arrived’.

It was then time for Cunha to take centre stage as he demonstrated his fancy footwork on the streets of his hometown.

One clip saw him slow the game down with some teasing drag-backs before dinking the ball over the outstretched legs of two opponents and teeing up his team-mate for a simple tap-in.

United fans will hope this is a sign of things to come after badly struggling with a lack of creativity last season.

The Red Devils scored just 44 league goals – their lowest total in the Premier League era – and are looking to bolster their frontline this summer.

Cunha is expected the be deployed in one of the No10 positions in Ruben Amorim’s favoured 3-4-2-1 formation, and United could bring in Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo to play alongside him.

Mbeumo is understood to prefer a switch to United, but has also been linked with Tottenham following Thomas Frank’s move to the north London club to replace Ange Postecoglou.

Cunha will be tasked with providing and scoring goals as United look to bounce back from their disastrous campaign, and based on his showing on the Brazilian streets, he seems to be up for the challenge.
