NBC News host Chuck Todd could never be accused of being a source of cutting-edge journalism. Now, he is continuing his streak of being extraordinarily slow to the draw, as evidenced by his recent analysis of the Democratic Party.
Todd sat down with former CBS News anchor Charlie Rose to analyze whether the resistance party was a left-of-center party or if it was lurching further leftward following President Trump’s overwhelming victory in the November elections.
What Todd discovered is shocking … only to him.
“I think this is the identity crisis that they have. I think it’s just a collection of people that don’t like Trump right now, right?” the former “Meet the Press” anchor explained.
“And that’s served them well in ‘20, but imagine trying to create a big tent that had AOC and John Kasich in it, right? You know? Or Liz Cheney and AOC,” Todd continued. “You sort of got to rip a hole in the middle, right, as you’re trying to stretch that tent.”

A collection of people who don’t like Trump right now? How about a collection of people who haven’t liked Trump for the past ten years running, Chief?
This is a party whose sole platform since June 16th, 2015, when Trump descended the golden escalator at Trump Tower, has been hatred of a man they once revered.
They, quite literally, stand for nothing else. And their movement from center-left to radical far-left is just a sign of the intensity of that hatred growing ever more extreme.
This isn’t the first time a man that the late, great Rush Limbaugh has referred to as F. Chuck Todd, former host of “Meet the Depressed,” has been slow with his analysis of the Democrats. Just this week, for example, he openly wondered if the story of Joe Biden as a super-chill family man was just a 40-year bill of goods.
The revisionist history continues, as @ChuckTodd is joined by @JakeTapper to ponder that Joe Biden is not the exalted “family man” they had sold to the public for years.

Todd told the equally sluggish Jake Tapper, who took years to discover Biden had cognitive issues, that the media may have been duped by the former President’s faux family image.
“Look, I mean, you and I covered, for most of our professional lives, the story of Joe Biden was this guy cared about his family so much he commuted home every night from Washington,” Todd told Tapper.
“By the way, you know what else you could say is this man was so ambitious that after his family went through that tragedy, he commuted every day to work. Like, it’s the same story. It’s all about the narrative,” he added. “I sit here, I look at this, and I think, were we sold a 40-year bill of goods?”
As RedState’s Brad Slager explained to Chuck and Jake, “It was YOU who sold that bill of goods.”
Todd went on to tell Rose that the Democratic party right now is “way too poll-tested” and “they’ve sort of lost touch with their working-class roots.”
They never had working-class roots. Much like Biden, the Democrat party has simply pretended to be something they are not.
