Harvey Elliott starred for England Under-21s as they won the recent European Championships

West Ham have added Liverpool forward Harvey Elliott to their list of targets.

Liverpool’s Elliott is valued at £40million with a buy-back clause, or £50m without one, as the Reds look to ensure that their academy star is only prised away from the club for a hefty fee.

The Hammers also admire Elliott’s team-mate Tyler Morton, who has also been a target for Ajax.

The potential moves come as West Ham look to bolster their attacking ranks following the £54.5m sale of Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham.

The Hammers are yet to submit a bid for Elliott but appear optimistic that a deal can get over the line.

Elliott, 22, played a starring role for England’s young Lions last month, netting five goals in six games during their run to the Under-21s European Championships’ crown.

Elliott can play both out wide and through the middle but has struggled for consistent game time.

Just two of his 18 league games last season came as a starter.

Graham Potter, who was hired as West Ham manager last January, is in the middle of his first summer window in charge as he looks to freshen up his squad.

They are also keeping tabs on Morton, the young midfielder who is also an England U-21 international.

He is a product of the Liverpool academy and has had previous loan stints with Blackburn and Hull City.
