Queen Mary and King Frederik’s eldest daughter Princess Isabella has stunned royal watchers after being spotted wearing an X-rated t-shirt at a music festival.
Princess Isabella, 18, was pictured on August 7 wearing the expletive-stamped shirt while attending the Danish music festival Smukfest in Skanderborg.
The second eldest child of the reigning royal couple was pictured wearing a black t-shirt emblazoned with the words ‘f***ed him yesterday’ in Danish. The message was accompanied by an arrow pointing off to the side.
The outfit is an enormous style departure for the teenage princess, who is normally seen in public looking demure, polished and regal.
In fact, it’s more common for Isabella’s fashion to be likened to that of her chic Australian-born mother – with Isabella even regularly borrowing select designer pieces straight out of her mum’s wardrobe.
However, some music enthusiasts were quick to defend the princess’ choice of t-shirt, explaining that it was a merchandise top for Danish hip hop group Suspekt, who had performed at Smukfest.
It’s been reported that the Danish Princess was spied in the audience for Suspekt’s set. The music trio are renowned for their explicit and sexual lyrics.
Princess Isabella was joined at the popular music festival by her older brother, Crown Prince Christian.

When Isabella was caught on camera wearing the explicit t-shirt, she was pictured with her heir-to-the-throne sibling along with a group of their friends.
The Danish princess’ choice of outfit quickly attracted scrutiny from royal watchers who claimed it crossed the line of decency and was unfitting for the daughter of the king.
Danish political commentator Jarl Cordua was among the most vocal critics of the royal’s attire.
‘”F****d him yesterday”. The rich are having a party because the second-oldest royal child let loose at a festival yesterday wearing a shirt with the aforementioned text,’ he wrote in response to a picture of Isabella at the festival.
‘Not surprisingly, there are people who love that kind of thing.
‘I’m also in favour of the royals letting loose a little. They always have. They should definitely be allowed to. BUT. There are limits.
‘We’ll probably live with that shirt, but I wouldn’t recommend making it a habit. Being royal is an obligation. And it’s probably time for someone to tell her that.’
Long-time royalist and Danish TV presenter Jim Lyngvild told media outlet BT that he, too, was initially shocked by Isabella’s outfit.

Princess Isabella has also given hints at being a more modern princess – like when the royal family shared this surprising behind the scenes image of the royal on her phone while dressed in her birthday portrait regalia
‘At first I was taken aback by that: “Oh, you can’t do that”,’ he said.
But after giving it further consideration, the presenter said that he changed his mind and in fact felt it was ‘brilliant’.
‘It’s the best PR initiative for the Royal House in many, many years,’ Lyngvild said.
The TV personality felt the bold fashion move reflected the fresh and modern approach of her father, King Frederik, who only took the throne last year.
‘It shows that there is a new king who has, in many ways, an ordinary family that represents today’s values,’ he mused.
‘The time of the ladies in the hat is over, Princess Isabella is in,’ Lyngvild added on social media.
‘I expect a lot from her… I LOVE that our royal youngsters also have personality and courage – and don’t follow the neat pleated flow.
‘There are no other princesses in the world who would dare to do that,’ he concluded.
But Cordua continued to insist that the boundary-pushing outfit crossed a line.
‘Isn’t that exactly what their job is? To maintain a certain standard? To show some kind of style? Dignity?’ Cordua questioned.
‘I doubt that everyone thinks that’s the case when a royal celebrates promiscuity on a shirt.’
Both Princess Isabella and Crown Prince Christian are expected to remain at Smukfest until it wraps on Sunday.
They will then join their parents and 14-year-old twin siblings Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent at the the Danish royal family’s summer retreat, Gråsten Palace.
