As I’ve been saying and writing for years: Watch Europe, because the left has its hooks sunk deep into Europe, and it can serve as a preview for what they would do here.
In the latest such chilling example, in Berlin, there will be a drag show, with events for adults and children. Worse, the German taxpayers are expected to pick up the tab.
Berlin’s Botanical Garden will host the drag festival “Queens & Flowers” on Saturday, August 23rd, with organisers openly advertising events not only for adults but also for children.
The festival, in its second year, is entirely financed with taxpayers’ money from the Berlin Senate’s Department for Economics, the district of Steglitz-Zehlendorf, and the tourism agency visitBerlin.
Alongside stage acts by drag queens, such as “Tessa Testicel,” whose name is a pun on male genitalia, the festival advertises “family tours” and interactive workshops.
A central attraction is the “Drag Queen Reading Hour,” where men dressed as women will read children’s books aloud.
District Mayor Maren Schellenberg (of the Greens party) praised the event as “a great opportunity for encounter, visibility, and solidarity.”
The director of the Botanical Garden, Thomas Borsch, emphasised the importance of inclusion: “Protecting and preserving diversity is more important than ever—this applies to plants as well as people.”
Das ist pferd quetschen. This isn’t a great opportunity for anything. Personally I find the whole thing revolting, but if the organizers of such an event gathered their own funding, rented a venue, put on the show to an audience who purchased tickets to watch it, then fine, they are free to knock themselves out. But the German taxpayers are on the hook for this show, a show that includes a character named “Tessa Testicel.”
And they have a Drag Queen Reading Hour. For kids. Other people’s kids.

Critics argue that the state is now actively encouraging children to be exposed to sexually themed performances under the banner of “diversity.”
Julian Reichelt, editor-in-chief of the right-wing news portal Nius.de, said the event amounts to “state-organised and promoted paedophilia.”

That’s simple. Because the American left will try it here. If they ever get the chance, they will try it here. If they ever get full control of the levers of power, they will try it here. Maybe in two years, maybe in 10 years, maybe in 50 years, they will try it again here. They will try to fund horse squeeze like this and expect you and me to pay for it. If they think they can get away with making attendance compulsory, they’ll probably do that.
It’s as I’ve been saying and writing for some time now. Watch Europe. They’re the model for America’s left, and we should harbor no illusions about that.
