
On Wednesday, it was announced that Tiger Woods has been appointed Chairman of the PGA Tour’s Future Competition Committee. According to the PGA Tour, the committee’s mission is to define the best competitive model that strengthens the Tour’s value for fans, players, and partners.
While PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp released a statement on the development, Woods also shared his own thoughts shortly after the announcement. The 15-time Major champion expressed his vision for the role as he takes on this new leadership position.
On social media platform X, Woods wrote:

It’s worth noting that Woods will not be the only professional golfer on the committee. The 49-year-old will be joined by Adam Scott, Patrick Cantlay, Keith Mitchell, Maverick McNealy, and Camilo Villegas. In addition, experienced executives such as Joe Gorder, John Henry, and Theo Epstein will also be part of the group, ensuring a balance of player insight and business expertise.
