Filming Wraps And Demi Moore's Role Expands

Landman season 2 has received an exciting update following its release date announcement. Taylor Sheridan’s smash-hit Paramount+ crime drama enjoyed a record-breaking first season, as audiences tuned in to watch Billy Bob Thornton’s titular Tommy Norris, as he battled for control of Texas oilfields, while trying to avoid cartel entanglements.

Landman season 2’s cast list sees Thornton reprising his role, alongside returning cast members including Ali Larter, Demi Moore, and Michelle Randolph. With a November 16 release date for Landman season 2 recently confirmed, the series just received an exciting update from a new addition to the season 2 cast list.

During ScreenRant’s interview with Miriam Silverman on the TIFF red carpet for Sacrifice, the actress gave an exciting Landman season 2 update. Silverman revealed that filming had wrapped a few weeks ago, before going on to mention that Moore’s character, Cami, has a more prominent role this season. Check out Silverman’s comments below:

ScreenRant: I also want to congratulate you on Landman season 2. You’re filming right now?

Miriam Silverman: Thank you so much. We wrapped! We wrapped a few weeks ago, so we do that, and I am actually here in Toronto filming a new series called Vladimir for Netflix. I’ve been doing that, and it’s been a great summer.

ScreenRant: How would you describe your experience on Landman, and what to expect from season 2?

Miriam Silverman: It was so delightful. Billy Bob [Thornton] could not be more of a welcoming, warm, caring presence. He’s such an incredible actor, and Demi [Moore] is such an incredible actress. She really comes into focus more this season.

Most of my stuff is with Michelle Randolph and Ali Larter, who are both brilliant geniuses. I get to square off with both of them, and it’s really fun.

What This Means For Landman Season 2

The fact that Silverman revealed filming has already wrapped on the hit show, suggests that everything went smoothly with production, and the season should be on course to release on the planned date. What’s more, Silverman’s comments about Moore’s character certainly align with the Landman season 2 trailer, which shows Cami’s ruthless rise.

Landman season 1’s ending tied up a lot of plot strands, but still left plenty for viewers to ponder, and this means there are several prominent plot points that season 2 should look to address. Cami’s rise to power will be key, but there is also the growing cartel influence posing a threat to Tommy, and Galino’s continued interest in the oil industry.

If season 1 is anything to go by, Landman season 2 should become one of the biggest shows ever, and could wind up becoming Paramount+’s most successful show ever. Sheridan’s TV shows have made him one of the leading creative forces in the industry, and Landman seems to be the jewel in his crown right now.

The update from Silverman should help to build anticipation for fans, alongside the trailer, and Landman‘s fall release could help make it a breakaway success for Paramount+. As one of the leading shows on the network, the expectation will be that Landman season 2 takes things to the next level, and promises more action, tension, and drama.
