Eric Trump had a lighter-than-usual air about him on Monday as he prepared for the release of his new book, but he seethed when asked about the attacks against his family.
President Donald Trump’s political enemies, he insists, weren’t just trying to beat him at the ballot box – they wanted to blow up his family from the inside.
He says Democrats explicitly wanted to break up Trump’s marriage to First Lady Melania Trump, who is the president’s third wife, or at the very least ’embarrass’ them.
‘We are one family who never broke,’ Eric insisted in a wide-ranging interview with the Daily Mail.
He believes that Democrats, ‘liberal media’ and political adversaries tried to cause rifts between family members to weaken the Trumps and their status in U.S. politics and on the world stage.
‘If you don’t think that the intent of the words written in the dirty dossier was to break up a marriage – you better believe it was an embarrassment factor plus to try and destroy somebody’s marriage and destroy somebody’s family,’ Eric speculated.
The document in question is Christopher Steele’s Russian dossier, which included unsavory details about Trump’s behavior in the bedroom while visiting Moscow and his alleged affinity for ‘golden showers.’ The president has long denied the details contained in the 2017 political opposition research report.
Eric claims that Trump’s enemies wanted to break down the relationships that the president has with his five children – Don Jr., Ivanka, Eric, Tiffany and Barron.
‘They’ve tried to do everything they could to destroy us as individuals, to destroy our family, to destroy the MAGA movement,’ the father-of-two recounted.

‘They wanted us to not be close,’ Eric elaborated. ‘They didn’t want me on the stage with my father, they didn’t want Don on that stage with my father. They didn’t want Don, Ivanka, myself, Tiffany and Barron to have the relationship that they do.’
‘They tried to do everything they could to imprison us, to bankrupt us, to destroy our family, to destroy our relationships, to attack all of the people in our lives, including all of our employees. That was part of that siege.’
Democrats, he claims, tried to take away the Trump family voice.
Eric’s book Under Siege: My Family’s Fight to Save Our Nation hits shelves on October 14.
In the memoir, which is Eric’s first book, he details growing up as a Trump and the onslaught of attacks his family has faced ever since his father entered the political sphere a decade ago.
During an interview last month, Eric told Newsmax that Democrats plotted to try and get Melania, who is President Trump’s third wife, to ‘divorce’ his father.
Asked if Democrats have a goal set out to divide the family, Eric quipped: ‘Is that one of their aims? It’s the entire premise of the book Under Siege.’
He also lamented how the FBI under Democratic leadership when President Joe Biden was in office spent four years launching legal and political attacks against the Trump family.

‘Our house got raided, Mar-a-Lago got raided, Melania’s room got raided, Melania’s closet got raided, Barrons’ room got raided. They’ve come after us relentlessly,’ Eric told the Daily Mail.
‘I became the most subpoenaed person in American history,’ he noted. ‘This is the siege that they put on us.’
Eric claims that the lawsuits were a way to get the Trumps to shut up and go away.
‘That’s what they wanted for us,’ he said. ‘They wanted us voiceless, they wanted us moneyless, they wanted us locked up in the cell, they wanted us to never be heard from again.’
‘They wanted the Trump name off of every building, not only in New York but around the world. And they failed,’ Eric declared.
