Circuit Court Judge Diane Goodstein¿s home in Edisto Beach burned to the ground over the weekend after being engulfed by a massive fire

A Democratic lawmaker is being roasted for claiming without evidence that the ‘extreme right’ was responsible for burning down the home of a South Carolina judge.

Circuit Court Judge Diane Goodstein’s home in Edisto Beach burned to the ground over the weekend. Her family was forced to leap off the first floor of the house, with some members breaking their legs, to escape the fire.

Investigators have found no immediate evidence that the blaze was caused by arson; however, multiple reports indicate the judge had been subjected to multiple threats before the fire. Goodstein recently ruled against the Trump administration blocking their attempted seizure of state voting records.

Regardless, New York Democratic Rep. Daniel Goldman on Sunday blamed the ‘extreme right’ while demanding President Donald Trump condemn political violence against Democrats.

‘Trump, @StephenM and MAGA-world have been doxxing and threatening judges who rule against Trump, including Judge Goodstein,’ Goldman wrote on X. ‘

‘Today, someone committed arson on the Judge’s home, severely injuring her husband and son. Will Trump speak out against the extreme right that did this??’

Despite investigators publicly stating there is no evidence of arson, Goldman stood by his statement.

The New York lawmaker was quickly bashed by online right-wing users who were quick to point out the inaccuracy of his post.

Without evidence and contrary to reports by law enforcement, Daniel Goldman blamed the ‘extreme right’ for the fire at the judge’s home

‘Rep. Dan Goldman said yesterday that President Trump, Stephen Miller, and the “extreme right” are to blame for a liberal judge’s home burning to the ground,’ wrote X user Greg Price.

‘Law enforcement in South Carolina just released a statement saying there’s no evidence the fire was intentionally set.’

Moreover, White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller responded to Goldman by bashing the Democrat for being ‘deeply warped and vile.’

‘You are vile. Deeply warped and vile. While the Trump Administration has launched the first-ever government-wide effort to combat and prosecute illegal doxing, sinister threats and political violence you continue to push despicable lies, demented smears, malicious defamation and foment unrest. Despicable,’ Miller wrote.

‘Meanwhile, the Democrat AG nominee in Virginia is fantasizing about murdering his opponents and a Biden federal judge is showing radical leniency to a monster who tried to assassinate a Supreme Court Justice.’

Goldman responded to Miller by again claiming the fire at the Judge’s home was the result of ‘political violence’ despite no evidence from law enforcement.

‘If you are trying to combat political violence, why don’t you condemn the political violence against a judge who ruled against you and your admin? It’s pretty simple: do you condemn all political violence or only that against your supporters?’ the lawmaker wrote to Miller.

Newsmax writer Michael Dorstewitz mocked Goldman’s attacks on the GOP by writing, ‘Is he gonna charge them for the JFK assassination too?’

The Daily Mail reached out to Goldman’s office for comment.
