The View’s Ana Navarro has claimed that Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau wanted to be seen ramping up their romance.
Over the weekend, the former Canadian prime minister was seen kissing and cuddling the pop star on her 24-meter yacht, the Caravelle, off the coast of Santa Barbara, California.
Katy, 40, famous for hits including I Kissed a Girl, looked stunning in a black swimsuit as the pair embraced on the upper deck, seemingly oblivious to the tourists on a passing whale-watching boat.
At one point Justin, 53, placed his hand on the singer’s bottom.
The flirty embrace was a hot topic on Monday’s episode of The View, and while the panelists were excited by the new couple, Ana pointed out that they could have opted for privacy if they wanted it.
‘Listen, if you want to be seen, you go on top of the yacht,’ Ana, 53, said. ‘That’s a big yacht.
‘There were a lot of places where they could have gone where they wouldn’t be seen. It’s like look at me, I’m making out. I’m happy and my butt looks good!’
Ana isn’t alone in calling out Katy and Justin for their supposed attention seeking.

The reported new couple were seen packing on the PDA over the weekend on the pop star’s yacht
On Reddit, one said: ‘They are trying so hard to hide it – standing there on the top of their yacht…’
‘Another yacht? Why are all of the big sneaky reveals on yachts?’ said another.
Ana’s co-stars also weighed in on the romance during Monday’s episode.
Sunny Hostin, 56, exclaimed: ‘I think it’s great for her, he’s sexy. He’s got that little French accent. I love it for her.’
‘I totally agree,’ added pregnant panelist Alyssa Farrah Griffin, who revealed she met Justin in 2019 in Ottowa.
‘I texted my husband this is the second hottest Justin I’ve ever met,’ the 36-year-old former political strategist added, referring to her husband Justin Griffin.
‘He’s 6ft2, the bluest eyes and then he started speaking French, He’s very handsome.’
Meanwhile, Whoopi Goldberg didn’t seem fussed over the blossoming romance.

She said: ‘I thought it was a totally different Katy because they said there’s an age difference.
‘I’m so glad this is what it is. I guess the question is do you care [and] what do you think?’
This isn’t the first time Katy and Justin have kicked off speculation about their relationship.
In July, they were spotted having an intimate dinner at Le Violon restaurant in Montreal.
Earlier this year, sources claimed that Justin and Katy were ‘in the very early stages’ of ‘exploring a romance.’
A source told the Daily Mail at the time: ‘Katy is very, very interested in him. She says he’s a real catch, a high-quality guy. She clearly likes him a lot. He likes her a lot.’
Katy has been linked to Justin after splitting from Orlando Bloom earlier this year
Justin was previously married to Sophie Trudeau and the couple share three children
Katy, who has a five-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, split from Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando Bloom earlier this year.
She was previously married to comedian Russell Brand from 2010 until 2012.
Justin split from ex-wife Sophie in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage.
They have two sons, Xavier, 18, and Hadrien, 11, and a daughter, Ella-Grace, 16.
Both Justin and Katy have refused to comment on their relationship status.
