Pennsy Woman Shot After Following Road Rager who Shot at Her as She Passed Him

A Pennsylvania man has been arrested after he allegedly shot a women in road rage incident in Bucks County early Monday evening.

Cristopher Corbi, 41, was charged Tuesday with attempted murder, aggravated assault, propulsion of missiles into an occupied vehicle, possession of an instrument of crime, recklessly endangering another person, tampering with evidence, simple assault, and criminal mischief, the Newtown Township Police Department said.

His victim, Kathryn Runner, told WPVI she was driving on the Newtown Bypass just after 6:30 p.m. on Monday. She said she and other drivers began passing a slow-moving vehicle, and as she passed the car, she “saw something shiny in the corner of my eye.”

“So I looked over and I saw the barrel of the gun, and then my window popped and I saw the hole,” she said.

Runner dialed 911 and began following the vehicle in an attempt to get the license plate. Suddenly, though, the gunman got off the bypass and onto another road.

“He looks like he’s going to go right, and then he slammed on the brakes and got out of the car and shot at me two more times,” she said.

One of those shots hit Runner, who was still on the phone with a 911 dispatcher, in the hand.

“I definitely was screaming at the 911 operator that he is shooting at me, and then I had my hand up and I thought I was actually hit here, because I felt my two fingers just go numb,” she said.

Runner said she’s confused by what happened, saying she did nothing to warrant being shot.

“So, and what gets me is, there were a lot of cars that passed him, what made him choose me?” she said.

Corbi was ordered held on a $1 million bail.
