Joe Biden wishes Nancy Pelosi ‘all the best,’ despite a reported rift in friendship
Former President Joe Biden has wished House Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi “all the best” after she announced her planned retirement, despite a reported rift in their friendship.
During Biden’s final days in the 2024 presidential race, Pelosi said on MSNBC, “It’s up to the president to decide if he is going to run. We’re all encouraging him to make that decision because time is running short.”
Biden had already decided to stay in the race after a dismal debate performance against now-President Donald Trump. He later dropped out to make way for then-Vice President Kamala Harris to run.
Speaking to The Washington Post last January, then-first lady Jill Biden said of Pelosi, “We were friends for 50 years,” calling her shift in support “disappointing.”

Ivanka Trump shredded online for hawking food business as millions of Americans face SNAP cuts
Ivanka, the eldest daughter of President Donald Trump, has entered the food waste prevention business following her stint in the White House during her father’s first term. She’s the co-founder of Planet Harvest, a “profit-for-purpose” company that creates a market for produce that has cosmetic flaws but is still good to eat.
Ivanka highlighted her recent attendance at the Think Health Summit in Bentonville, Arkansas, in a Wednesday Instagram post, saying her company donated 5,000 “Planet Harvest Farmacy” food boxes to families in Northwest Arkansas.
“If food drives disease, food must be part of the cure, and if food is medicine, farmers are healthcare providers!” she wrote.

Trump gets slapped with community note on X after using Walmart’s math to brag about Thanksgiving affordability
President Donald Trump bragged that he was delivering on affordability for Americans after Walmart shared that its annual Thanksgiving meal was cheaper than last year’s — though internet sleuths are skeptical whether that is actually the case.
Trump touted on his Truth Social platform Wednesday that Walmart’s Thanksgiving dinner this year was “down 25% since under Sleepy/Crooked Joe Biden.”
“AFFORDABILITY is a Republican Stronghold,” Trump, 79, claimed. “Hopefully, Republicans will use this irrefutable fact!”
The post, shared to X by the White House Rapid Response team, quickly got slapped with a Community Note. The correction from X users suggested that this year’s Walmart meal package only includes 15 items, compared to the 21 listed last year.

Trump continues to boast about Walmart’s affordable Thanksgiving meal without sharing all the facts
President Donald Trump has continued to boast about Walmart’s affordable Thanksgiving meal without sharing all the facts.
“They announced today after many years…that Thanksgiving for the United States of America…is 25 percent less for a Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings than it was under sleepy Joe Biden’s administration,” Trump said at a White House dinner with Central Asian leaders Thursday night.
Walmart’s meal package is cheaper this year compared to last year, but there are some differences. This year’s dinner comes with 15 items, instead of 21.

JD Vance calls court order to fully fund SNAP an ‘absurd ruling’
Vice President JD Vance has called a court order to fully fund SNAP benefits through November an “absurd ruling.”
“You have a federal judge effectively telling us what we have to do in the midst of the Democrat government shutdown, which what we’d like to do is for the Democrats to open up the government of course, then we can fund SNAP,” Vance told reporters at a White House dinner with Central Asian leaders Thursday night.
The Trump administration has appealed the ruling made by a federal judge in Rhode Island earlier Thursday.
