IN FULL
Pro-life activists in Toronto, Canada, have revealed how easy it is for women to procure late-term abortions, releasing undercover footage of medical professionals who have no qualms whatsoever about aborting a baby as late as eight months into a pregnancy. The footage, released by the pro-life campaign group RightNow, shows one of its activists, who was 22 weeks pregnant at the time, seeking advice on abortions at the Cabbagetown Women’s Clinic in Toronto.
The activist was told the procedure would cost the equivalent of just over $1,500 USD and that, notably, the clinic only accepted cash. An abortion counsellor named Linda informed her that at 22 weeks, she was at the borderline for an abortion at the Cabbagetown clinic, which performs abortions to 24 weeks, but noted a nearby hospital would perform abortions even later in a pregnancy. “I sent them to Women’s College Hospital, it’s a hospital that’s close by,” Linda states, adding: “They don’t have a limit. They sometimes go up to 32 weeks, I believe.”
Linda describes the late-term abortion procedure as taking up to three days, starting with an injection meant to kill the baby in the womb by stopping its heart, as this supposedly makes the abortion “safer.” Linda also claims the baby has no “consciousness,” claiming that even if there were, the injection is made to “prevent it.”
The activist then speaks to a female abortion doctor, who clarifies to her that there is no limit in Canada for an abortion, which is accurate, as there are no Canadian laws restricting abortion at all. However, there are supposed to be regulations within the healthcare industry.
“The law in Canada and the U.S. overall doesn’t have a ‘too far.’ OK, I can tell you that once things reach 35, 36 weeks, it might be impossible to find someone that would do it. OK, 24, up to 30 weeks, it’s very possible,” the abortionist states.
The doctor goes on to state that children born at 22 weeks may survive, but adds, “There are very few clinicians who would consider that life.” When the pregnant activist asks the doctor about whether she needs health reasons for herself or her baby to procure a late-term abortion, the doctor appears to suggest that this has not been necessary for “abortion care” since the 1960s.
Canadian healthcare professionals are estimated to have performed over 100,000 abortions in 2023, with over 40,000 occurring in Ontario alone.
Canada also has legalized medically assisted suicide, which saw doctors euthanize tens of thousands of people. It has become a leading cause of death in the country, with 4.7 percent of all deaths in 2023 being from medically assisted suicide.
Activists are attempting to expand euthanasia by allowing children and mentally ill people to be killed by doctors as well. Notably, recent reports claim that Canadian doctors are harvesting the organs of those being killed.
