Chef Tini Pens Heartbreaking Message About Losing Twin

June 24 was the day Tineke and Antoine revealed their pregnancy to fans. Their sweet announcement photos included a sign that read, “2 Sous Chefs On The Way.” In the months since then, Chef Tini continued to whip up yummy recipes and vlog about their journey to new parenthood. Now, she and her husband are grieving the loss of one daughter, Arya, ahead of the holidays.

As mentioned, they both announced the news on Instagram and other social platforms on Wednesday (November 26). Their posts included a devastating family portrait of Tini, Antoine and Arya, and close-up photos of the almost 36-week-old’s hands. The last image in Tini’s post shows the new mom looking at her baby girl. Younger revealed in her caption that Arya, who was baby A, passed away after she suffered a placenta abruption.

“This isn’t the post I ever thought I would share once the twins came, unfortunately earlier this week we lost our sweet girl Arya (Baby A) We made it to almost 36 weeks we were so close to being done and getting the girls to term but I had a placenta abruption and we lost our sweet girl.”

Additionally, Chef Tini assured fans that Arya’s sister, Baby B, is well. She wrote, “Her twin sister is doing really good and breathing on her own. They both are so beautiful and Arya will always be celebrated, her sister will know she is a twin and has a beautiful twin sister.” Closing her caption, the ‘Next Level Chef’ star said she’ll be “taking a break,” but didn’t know for how long. “…I promise I will be back. I love you guys,” Chef Tini wrote.
