Five children have been injured after a jumping castle became detached from the ground

Five children have been injured after a jumping castle became detached from the ground and was blown over a neighbouring fence.

Emergency services rushed to a home on Kelvin Park Dr in Bradfield, south-western Sydney, about 9.35am on Saturday.

Three nine-year-olds, a 12-year-old and a 13-year-old were assessed at the home by paramedics before four children were taken to hospital in a stable condition.

NSW Ambulance believe the children were all boys, 7NEWS.com.au reports.

It is understood SafeWork NSW are at the scene.

Almost four years ago, families in Tasmania were rocked when a ‘dust devil’ lifted a jumping castle into the air, killing six primary school children.

Chace Harrison, Jalailah Jayne-Maree Jones, Zane Mellor, Addison Stewart, Jye Sheehan and Peter Dodt died as a result of the incident at Hillcrest Primary School in Devonport in December 2021.

They were enjoying end-of-year celebrations on the Tasmanian school’s oval when a wind gust lifted the castle into the air. Three others were seriously injured.

More to come.
