Netflix is back at it again, and honestly, 2026 is already looking like a great year for binge-watchers. Seriously, there are some brand-new shows on the horizon that we’re already counting down the days for.
From the first glimpses we’ve seen in trailers and announcements, it’s clear the streaming giant is pulling out all the stops. In this article, we’ve put together a list of five new Netflix shows coming in 2026 that we’re especially excited about. These are the series with the potential to dominate conversations and become the next big obsessions on everyone’s watchlist.

Run Away
- Release date: Jan. 1, 2026
- Cast: James Nesbitt, Ellie de Lange, Ruth Jones, Minnie Driver, Alfred Enoch, Lucian Msamati, Jon Pointing
Netflix Lifers, we’ve been going through somewhat of a Harlan Coben drought. The last book-to-series adaptation of his was released back in March, so it’s been way too long since we’ve gotten our fix of mind-blowing twists and nail-biting suspense that keep us glued to the screen. Sure, there was the Prime Video series, Lazarus. But that show doesn’t count since it’s not a Netflix series and isn’t based on any of Coben’s books.
However, we have the upcoming thriller series Run Away to look forward to on Netflix next year. It’s based on Coben’s 2019 novel of the same name and centers around a devoted father named Simon, whose seemingly perfect life unravels when his eldest daughter goes missing.
One day, Simon finds his daughter vulnerable and caught up in a dangerous situation in a park. But then a tense confrontation quickly escalates into violence, and Simon finds himself pulled deeper into a world of secrets and danger that threatens to destroy everything he holds dear. This limited series consists of eight episodes in total.

Another new Netflix show we can’t wait to check out next year is His & Hers. Not only does it star some really talented actors, but the plot is also interesting enough to grab your attention right away.
Based on Alice Feeney’s 2020 novel of the same name, the six-episode limited series revolves around Anna, a reclusive news anchor who gets pulled back into the world she left behind when she overhears a murder in her hometown. As she digs deeper into the case, she finds herself at odds with Detective Jack Harper, whose suspicions and relentless pursuit of the truth put them both on a dangerous path.
