A Missouri woman has been charged with murder and child endangerment after she was seen on video firing fatal gunshots at a woman in another room, where she and a child were located.
The St. Louis County Police Department said it responded late Wednesday afternoon to a call about the shooting in the north of the county and found Bryola Carter, 25, with life threatening wounds, KSDK reported. She was taken to a hospital, where she later died.
Investigators found surveillance video that showed Giveyon Carter, 27, entering a bathroom in the home and shooting through a door toward Bryola Carter and the child. Court documents say Bryola Carter was hit in the arm and torso.
According to KTVI, the two women were sisters. Neither station described the relationship of the child to the two women.
Giveyonn Carter was charged on Friday with second degree murder, armed criminal action, and endangering the welfare of a child. She was given a $500,000 bond.
