Police in northern California on Monday responded to a medical aid call for an unresponsive child and found two injured children, one of whom died.
The unresponsive 7-year-old girl was pronounced dead at a hospital, while the 5-year-old girl was taken for treatment, according to the Roseville Police Department.
Police did not describe the injuries to the two children but said two other children inside the home “were not injured.”
Officers were called the home just after 7:30 a.m. on Monday. The 7-year-old “appeared to have injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.” Officers found the younger girl when they swept the home.
They did not provide the ages of the two uninjured children.
