Watch Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte play surprise piano duet for Christmas carol service

Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte teamed up for a surprise piano duet at her fifth annual “Together At Christmas” carol service earlier this month.

The mother of three, 43, released a clip of a rendition with her daughter, 10, of “Holm Sound” by Erland Cooper via social media on Wednesday following the U.K.’s ITV broadcast at 2:25 p.m. ET.

“At its heart, Christmas speaks of love taking full bloom in the simplest, most human ways,” Princess Kate said in the Instagram Reel.

“Not in sentimental or grand gestures, but gentle ones, a moment of listening, a word of comfort, a friendly conversation, a helping hand. Presence. These simple acts of care might seem small, but they contribute to the beautiful tapestry of life to which we all belong,” she continued.

Middleton previously teased the touching moment in another post shared to the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram account hours ahead of the broadcast.

The short clip showed a piano before the camera panned to reveal Middleton’s hand — which could be identified by her sapphire engagement ring — on the keys. Shortly after, a small hand joined hers.

“A special duet…” read the post’s caption.

In addition to Princess Charlotte’s special moment with her mom, the young royal shared another notable moment with the rest of her family at this year’s event as she and her brothers, Prince George, 12, and Prince Louis, 7, caught everyone’s attention with this personal gesture.

The three siblings were photographed adding their own handwritten notes with their names on the long, red paper chain used to decorate the event’s Christmas tree outside Westminster Abbey.

The pictures also showed Middleton and her husband, Prince William, watching on as their children joined in the holiday festivities.

They all sported coordinating outfits for the occasion with the boys wearing navy blue suits and white shirts for the occasion.

Charlotte wore a navy blue dress with a white collar. Meanwhile, Middleton dressed in a winter green coat dress, which matched Prince George’s tie. Louis’ tie featured both green and blue shades.

Joining the Prince and Princess of Wales was Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, as well as her brother, James Middleton, and her sister-in-law, Alizée Thevenet.

Other royal family members including Princess Margaret’s daughter, Lady Sarah Chatto, also made an appearance; along with Zara Tindall and her husband, Mike Tindall, Lord Frederick Windsor and his wife, Sophie Winkelman, and their daughters, Maud, 12, and Isabella, 9.
