LA Knight is a former United States Champion.

The WWE Universe hasn’t seen LA Knight since he was taken out by The Vision’s Bronson Reed on December 8. There were rumors that he could appear on RAW in Germany last week, but the latest report has revealed the date of his potential return.

According to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp last week, Knight was scheduled to travel to Germany before the January 12 episode of RAW in Dusseldorf. Sapp didn’t confirm if The Megastar will make his return on the show, but there was plenty of speculation about it.

However, the show has come and gone, but Knight remained on the sidelines. An update from SRS revealed that the former United States Champion was still in the United States. He was initially part of the internal plans to be brought to Europe before WWE ultimately decided to keep him at home for now.

After a masked Austin Theory helped Logan Paul beat Knight on December 8, The Vision continued their heinous attack on the popular RAW star. Bronson Reed finished things off by delivering a thunderous Tsunami on Knight, who was lying on the roof of a car.

Knight’s Potential Return Date

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that LA Knight could make his return at the 2026 men’s Royal Rumble match as a surprise entrant.

It’s the perfect spot for returning WWE stars to appear and give fans something to cheer about.

Meltzer added that Knight is set to resume his story with The Vision, specifically Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. With the numbers not in his favor, it will be interesting to see if he’ll get some backup like Penta, Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio.

It should also be noted that Meltzer mentioned that there’s a chance Knight could make his return on the RAW before the Royal Rumble to announce his participation.

This year’s Royal Rumble event is scheduled for January 31 at the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It will be the first-ever traditional Royal Rumble PLE to be held outside the United States.

Knight Set For Huge Push in 2026

Many WWE fans were disheartened after LA Knight was taken out by The Vision last month. Some even thought that Knight was leaving the company because of how he’s been treated, alluding to what happened to Ricochet a few years ago in the same parking lot spot with Bron Breakker.

However, Knight is signed to a multi-year contract and will be a big part of WWE’s plans in 2026.

BodySlam+ reported in the second week of December that fans should not be worried about The Megastar. WWE is set to position him as one of its top babyfaces moving forward.

The report added that WWE wants to play the “long game” with the 43-year-old star, based on the positive reactions he received last year.

Knight had another big year in 2025, entering WrestleMania 41 as the United States Champion. He also earned his biggest win by beating Seth Rollins at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12. He even reached the final of The Last Time Is Now Tournament but lost to Gunther.
