GlamBOT Director Under Fire Over Rude Email Exchange With Woman Following JLO Controversy

GlamBOT director Cole Walliser is being called out by a woman who emailed him about booking his extravagant services, hoping to emulate his viral celebrity moments at her wedding. The exchange depicts him as rude, and it comes just days after Jennifer Lopez was accused of the very same thing.

The woman, Yinka Animashaun from Dallas, Texas, shared the 2019 email exchange on X on January 18. There, she inquired about hiring Cole to use the GlamBOT at her wedding, which was set for September 20 and 22. She wanted the high-speed camera and slow-motion videos to capture and show the most important day of her life.

After Yinka asked for Cole’s availability and rates, the GlamBOT director answered in a tone that might be interpreted as dismissive. He explained that the camera system and personnel are “used by a network television station for one of the biggest red carpets of the year.” Therefore, hiring his services was not cheap, he added.

The woman, however, said that hiring him was within her budget range. Cole responded in disbelief, saying, “I don’t see how you could be,” and providing a hypothetical range between $10,000 and $1 million. Yinka said she understood how pricey it could get, but insisted she was able to pay for it and asked for the next booking steps.

Cole, still yet to provide a rate, explained that GlamBOT required 15 crew members, network setups, rehearsals, camera rental, insurance, permits, among other things. He even added an “etc etc etc” to emphasize how expensive the whole thing could get.

Yinka, unfazed, asked, “So where would I begin? Through you or is there a website? Finally, Cole provides a rate of $300,000, with a 10 percent deposit to secure the gear and finalize the contract. The woman thanked him and told him he would reach out to him “by Monday.” This appeared to trigger Cole, as he said the following:

If you wanted to know how much it costs you just needed to ask, you don’t need to pretend you are going to book it.

The Texas woman, confused, told him that she did, in fact, ask for a rate, and the email interaction ended for good.

In a statement shared with PEOPLE, Yinka said that the exchange left her “hurt” and “angry,” adding that, being a Black woman, she is “no stranger to people making assumptions” about who she is and what she is capable of. He called his responses “exceptionally unprofessional and unkind,” and “that isn’t how you speak to a potential client or people in general.”

This latest controversy comes just mere days after Jennifer Lopez was called out as rude during a GlamBOT session with Cole at the 2026 Golden Globes. She appeared to ignore Cole, as she had her back toward him, and later walked away, waving.

In a video shared on Instagram, Cole said that he didn’t take it personally and that it didn’t feel rude in that moment.”
