Trump's one-word goal revealed as bombs rain down on Iran

Donald Trump unveiled his sweeping plan to transform Iran just as bombs rained down on the Islamic regime’s supreme leader in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The president told the Washington Post that is ultimate goal in a war with Tehran is ‘freedom’ for the Iranian people.

The US military in a joint operation with Israel launched tomahawk missiles on Iran with Air Force and Navy jets.

Iran responded to the aggression by launching ‘revenge strikes’ on US military bases across the Middle East. Tehran has struck the Fifth Fleet service centre in Manama, Bahrain, and claims to have hit bases across the region including in Qatar, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait.

Other US regional allies, including Dubai, Iraq and Jordan, have all also reported various missile activity from Iran.

‘All I want is freedom for the people,’ Trump said in a brief interview just after 4 a.m.

When asked about what he hopes his legacy will be after launching a regime change war against Iran, Trump responded, ‘I want a safe nation, and that’s what we’re going to have.’
