Andrea Bocelli stole the spotlight at the Sanremo Italian Song Festival as he made a majestic entrance on a horseback on Sunday

Andrea Bocelli stole the spotlight at the Sanremo Italian Song Festival as he made a majestic entrance on a horseback on Sunday.

The Italian tenor, 67, galloped into the stage riding the white horse with confidence.

The singer, who became a fixture on the annual Italian award show, was in attendance to delight the crowd with a vibrant performance.

He sported his trademark tuxedo suit and bow tie for the occasion.

Last year, Daily Mail’s Richard Eden revealed that his past management agency, Quest Management (UK), initiated a High Court action against the tenor.

Andrea – who has sold more than 90million records and been garlanded with innumerable awards, including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame – was managed by Quest for ‘many years’, according to legal documents from the company.

These state that an agreement was made between them and the opera star in 2018, then extended in March 2022 and March 2023, continuing until April of last year, when the singer’s wife Veronica allegedly ended it by email on April 20.

Quest says that the ‘wrongful purported termination’ has caused it ‘very substantial loss and damage’ – losses the company claims it ‘will continue to suffer’. As a result, it is seeking unlimited damages from Andrea, as well as costs.

The singer has previously described Veronica, 25 years his junior, as the love of his life, saying she is ‘the electric current that energises everything and makes it all work in perfect harmony’.

Despite an apparent lack of harmony with Quest, its sister company, Quest Artist Management, continued to display the singer’s photograph on its website, in a sequence that also includes Sir Paul McCartney and Andrea’s younger son from his first marriage, Matteo.

A spokesman for the tenor declined to comment at the time, while Quest refrained from adding to the details in its High Court claim.

Let’s hope matters can be resolved without an aria of anguish, even if it is Time To Say Goodbye.

Meanwhile, in October, the Italian music icon suffered backlash after he performed for Donald Trump in the Oval Office on Friday prior to his meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky.

The operatic appearance was a stark contrast from 2017, when Andrea allegedly bailed on Trump’s first inauguration after he was allegedly sent death threats.

Trump advisor Margo Martin said that Trump was actually listening to one of his songs when the 67-year old walked in.

The president played his song, ‘Time to Say Goodbye,’ as he walked in and said: ‘Listen to this.’

The opera legend then himself began singing along in a duet with himself as the president looked on.

He had a laugh about the moment before beginning to sing again and afterward posing for photographs with Trump.

Liberals heavily criticised Bocelli, as they have many celebrities, for appearing with the president.

Sanremo Italian Song Festival is where the beloved tenor first shot to stardom in 1994, after winning the newcomers’ section on the 44th edition of the festival.
