Since the beginning of the year, Netflix has been delivering weeks upon weeks full of excellent new releases. From the biggest Netflix shows returning with new seasons to some of the most exciting movies, there hasn’t been a week without a major release. However, this might be the most jam-packed week of the year yet with two fan-favorites back and two exciting series premieres.
This week proves that spring has most definitely sprung as we’re setting back off on an adventure with One Piece season 2 and making a cozy trip to the most comfortable corner of the small screen with Virgin River season 7. Beyond those new seasons that have been a long time coming for fans, Netflix also debuts a new Spanish thriller and a rather surprising dating competition.
Before these thrilling new titles begin streaming and the world dives right into a binge-watch, we’re breaking down the four best new Netflix shows to watch during the week of March 9 through our second Friday the 13th of the year. Will you be adding any of these titles to your watch list? See if they will make the cut as we preview them all below!

One Piece season 2
Not to be outdone by Stranger Things, but it’s been nearly three years since One Piece first made its premiere on Netflix in August 2023. So, it’s about time for the highly anticipated second season to finally, at long last, set sail. The eight-episode second season arrives on Tuesday, March 10, and we’re certain that fans won’t be waiting a second to begin their binge-watch!
One Piece season 2 features the subtitle Into the Grand Line as Luffy and the Straw Hats embark on new journey through the Grand Line that puts them in more danger than ever. Venturing into the strange realm full of new enemies, the group battles for treasure against chilling threats they never saw coming.
In addition to the returning main cast members, One Piece season 2 introduces a crop of new characters and recurring stars, including Callum Kerr, Charithra Chandran, David Dastmalchian, Katey Sagal, Mark Harelik, Sendhil Ramamurthy, and Joe Manganiello. For those worried about another long wait in between seasons, the third season has already started filming!

Age of Attraction
If you’re in need of another dating reality competition series after Love is Blind season 10 came to an end, Netflix has exactly what you’re looking for. Well, maybe it’s not exactly what you’re looking for, or it’s at least not quite the dating reality series you’ll be expecting. While love might be blind in Netflix’s other hit series, age will be the factor removed from the equation this time around.
Bachelor vet Nick Viall and his wife Natalie Joy Viall host Age of Attraction, Netflix’s latest dating reality show that’s sure to create some buzz (and maybe for the wrong reasons). In the series, singles searching for their soulmates won’t consider age. That means, there will be some significant age gaps in these pairings! See what’s in store when the series premieres on Wednesday, March 11.

Virgin River season 7
After the longest wait in between season in the show’s history, Virgin River season 7 finally makes its premiere on Thursday, March 12. The romantic drama series returns with perhaps its most eagerly awaited season yet because, if you remember, Mel and Jack got married in season 6. Going into season 7, their newlywed bliss gets a twist as they considering an offer to adopt a patient’s baby.
In the season 6 cliffhanger (well, one of them), Mel was approached by her patient Marley to adopt her baby when the planned parents pulled out. It’s a jaw-dropper, but there’s plenty of those to go around as season 7 arrives to continue the mystery of what Jack saw at Charmaine’s house, Brie’s answer to Mike’s unexpected marriage proposal, and Doc’s fight with the medical board.

That Night
Looking for a new series to watch on Friday the 13th that will provide some chills and thrills? How about the new Spanish mystery-thriller That Night, which is based on the book of the same name by Gillian McAllister. Olympo and Through My Window star Clara Galle leads the cast of the six-episode series that will have you firmly planted on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
That Night centers on Elena (Galle), who accidentally runs over and kills a man with her car while on a family vacation in the Domincan Republic. When she calls her older sisters for help with the accident, the trio bands together to prevent Elena from going to jail and abandoning her child. However, the thriller will delve into whether they can get away with their plan. This one’s a must-binge!
