Kate Hudson and Goldie Hawn have mother-daughter date night at Oscars 2026

Kate Hudson and Goldie Hawn were red carpet royalty together at the 2026 Oscars Sunday.

Hudson, who’s nominated in the best actress category at this year’s ceremony, for her role in “Song Sung Blue,” brought her mom as her date.

The two posed together on the red carpet, with Hudson looking chic in a jade green Armani Privé gown with tons of sparkle, and Hawn looking equally glam in a black halter gown.

Meanwhile, Hudson’s stunning jewelry stole the show. The actress wore Garatti jewelry featuring 41 carats of rare green diamonds worth a whopping $35 million.

The mother of three’s stepdad, Kurt Russell, also accompanied her on her big night.

Hudson, 46, told Vogue that she actually chose her dress on the morning of the Oscars.

“I don’t want to take any chances on the day that I want to feel just comfortable,” she told the outlet. “It was just so important to me that I felt like I wasn’t going to have any dress anxiety.”

“I wanted to have a really pretty silhouette on the carpet, and I wanted to feel nice and held, and I want it to feel elegant, and I want to feel bright and colorful,” she said of her choice.

“I want to feel like I’m breathing in.”

Though she lost on Sunday to Amy Madigan for “Weapons,” this is Hudson’s second time being nominated for an Academy Award.

She was first nominated for a best supporting actress Academy Award in 2001 after making her breakthrough in 2000 comedy drama “Almost Famous.”

She reflected on the advice she’d give her younger self last month at the 28th Costume Designers Guild Awards.

“I think giving advice to my younger self would be like discounting all of the decisions that I made that were also like good decisions — even the mistakes and the ones that were challenging decisions that I made formed everything for who I am right now, so I wouldn’t go back and do anything different,” she told Fox News Digital.
