Eric Trump previewed an AI-rendered vision on Monday evening for his father’s proposed presidential library in Miami, Florida. Naturally, considering we’re talking about the president here, the building is bold, ambitious, and shiny.
The president’s second-oldest son says he’s been working extremely hard on the project:
🚨 FIRST LOOK: The Donald J. Trump Presidential Library is officially here.
Over the past six months, I have poured my heart and soul into this project with my incredible team at @Trump.

This landmark on the water in Miami, Florida will stand as a lasting testament to an amazing man, an amazing developer, and the greatest President our Nation has ever known.
These images have never been seen by the public — until today. Enjoy!
The one-minute and forty-second clip starts with dramatic music swelling and the “camera” sweeping over the city before centering on the gleaming building, which bears a striking resemblance to Manhattan’s One World Trade Center. Although Eric doesn’t go into specifics in his post, the president reportedly wants his library to be 47 stories tall to commemorate that he’s the 47th U.S. president (he was also the 45th).

Although no official plans have been released, it wouldn’t be a Trump building if it didn’t include a hotel (and why not throw in a huge aircraft?)
Likewise, the library’s possible display of the $400 million Boeing 747 gifted by Qatar for use as Air Force One, which would dwarf the single-story Boeing 707 at Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum in Simi Valley, Calif.
There’s also talk of a hotel. “I could envision,” said a Trump ally familiar with the discussions who stresses that design ideas remain fluid, a “traditional library space [on the] first couple of full floors. Then you go up to 10 floors: hotel. And then you’d have office space. And then you have, you know, probably a beautiful restaurant at the top.”
Of course, the project isn’t even underway yet, but the lawsuits and complaints are already coming in. The 2.6-acre parcel had been owned by Miami Dade College, whose board of trustees in 2025 voted to transfer it to the state of Florida, which then went on to authorize it for the future library, triggering the usual suspects. I’m sure that will all take some time to make its way through the courts.
Here comes the fun part, though: who’s funding the project? In a grand bit of irony, money from his legal settlements with the lying mainstream press — outfits like ABC and CBS News —will comprise at least part of the budget.
The rest will come from corporate and big-pocket donors, as well as from foreign countries, and leftover inauguration funds could even be repurposed.
In any event, Trump hopes it will be a lot nicer than former President Obama’s library:

Former President Joe Biden, meanwhile, is reportedly having trouble getting donors to pitch in for his own archive, but some on the internet have an idea what it might look like:

One thing we can be pretty sure of: Trump’s library will be yuge.
