Amy Schumer flaunts thinner-than-ever figure in a swimsuit after using GLP-1 to lose 50lbs

Amy Schumer flaunted her thinner figure as she modeled a swimsuit in an Instagram snap after dropping 50lbs. 

The 44-year-old comedian – who has been open about using GLP-1 medication amid her weight loss journey – shared the image to her Instagram stories on Tuesday as she paused for a quick mirror selfie. 

The Trainwreck actress sported a red swimsuit that had a plunging neckline on the front and pulled back her blonde locks into a simple bun. 

Schumer opted for minimal accessories and completed the look with a pair of stylish shades.

In text added towards the bottom of the photo, she penned to her followers: ‘Thirsty enough for ya?’ 

The star has gotten candid about using Mounjaro to aid in losing weight, after admitting that Ozempic had been a ‘horrible experience.’

Back in 2025 during an appearance on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show, she talked about what caused her to switch over to Mounjaro. 

‘I have this gene, GDF15, which makes you extremely prone to nausea, which is why I was so sick during my pregnancy.’ 

Schumer continued, ‘So, I tried Ozempic almost three years ago and I was like bedridden. 

‘I was like, vomiting and then you have no energy. But other people take it and they’re all good. So, God bless them.’ 

The comedian recalled feeling like she was ‘shriveling away’ due to being nauseous. 

‘I lost 30 pounds so quick,’ Schumer said. ‘I looked great, but I couldn’t lift my head off the pillow. So what’s the point?’

Also last year, she discussed having a better reaction with Mounjaro in a since-deleted Instagram post. 

‘I was like puking, I couldn’t handle it. I don’t know if they’ve changed the formula, whatever,’ the actress explained of her Ozempic experience.

The star then added that switching over to Mounjaro has ‘been great.’ 

Late last year in December, Schumer offered an update on her weight loss journey and clarified that she dropped 50lbs rather than 30. 

‘I didn’t lose 30lbs I lost 50,’ she wrote on her Instagram stories. ‘Not to look hot which does feel fun and temporary.’ 

The star expressed that she lost weight in order to ‘survive’ before getting candid about a health battle. 

‘I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy that can kill you, but the internet caught it, and the disease has cleared.’ 

Back in 2024, Schumer revealed that she had been diagnosed with Cushing syndrome which is a rare disorder and occurs ‘when the body has too much of the hormone cortisol for a long time,’ per Mayo Clinic. 

She continued, ‘Sorry for whatever feeling it’s giving you that I lost that weight and I use mounjaro. Sorry to anyone [that] lets down.’

Back in 2022, the star also revealed that she had liposuction – after undergoing surgery for endometriosis and had both her appendix and uterus removed.

Schumer has showcased her slimmer figure on social media in several posts on Instagram. 

Last month in February, she penned that sharing ‘pics of yourself when you’re finally feeling strong and beautiful are not a cry for help.

‘They are a celebration of life and health. Love to the single moms out there,’ the star added. 

She also uploaded a separate post that same month which included a reel of her diving into the ocean water while sporting a red bikini. 

In December of last year, Schumer announced her shock split from Chris Fischer after seven years of marriage. 

She had confirmed the news on social media and explained the pair made the ‘difficult decision’ to separate, but emphasized the split was ‘amicable.’

The comedian uploaded a photo as she sat next to Fischer on the NYC subway and in the caption typed, ‘Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years.

The actress said ‘I do’ to Fischer back in February 2018 during a romantic ceremony in Malibu – while surrounded by 80 guests, including Jennifer Lawrence. They had also signed a prenup before tying the knot.

The following year, the pair welcomed their son Gene in 2019 – who will turn seven in May.

‘Chris is mostly out of the house at this point. They’ve listed two homes now, in Brooklyn and New Orleans.’

The friend had added, ‘She deleted Chris from Instagram then deleted everything else. She’s going to file soon, but it’s over. Done.’

Schumer was last pictured on the red carpet with Fischer in June 2025 at the premiere of Room To Move.
