Ariana Grande and boyfriend Ricky Alvarez shared plenty of PDA as they took part in a viral challenge promoting the singer’s r.e.m. beauty line.
In an Instagram video posted Saturday, Grande, 33, and Alvarez, 35, played “What’s on my lips?” The game involved Grande wearing different lip products while Alvarez tried to identify them with his eyes covered by his beanie.
The “Petal” hitmaker rekindled her romance with Alvarez, a former backup dancer she previously dated in 2015, in June after splitting from her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater, 34.
Grande and Alvarez appeared completely smitten in the clip, with Alvarez proudly referring to her as his “girlfriend” as they entertained fans with the playful challenge.
For the first round, Grande applied r.e.m. beauty’s Glossy Balm before kissing Alvarez. He jokingly insisted that he needed “more” kisses from her to make an accurate guess.
As Grande laughed continuously, Alvarez concentrated on the task. He correctly determined that she was “not wearing” r.e.m. beauty’s Butter Lip Balm and had instead applied Glossy Balm.

“It has to be Glossy Balm. I also just ate spicy ramen, so I feel like the pores would be open,” he said while keeping the beanie over his eyes.
“I feel like it might hit me quicker, so I think I’m gonna go with Glossy Balm.”
Grande celebrated his correct answer, exclaiming, “You were right!” She then clapped for Alvarez and wiped the gloss from his mouth with her hand.
For the next round, the Florida-born singer applied r.e.m. beauty’s Plumping Gloss to Alvarez’s lips. He identified the product correctly after just two kisses.
He did, however, guess the flavor was “Fembot” instead of the correct answer, Jelly Sandals. Grande eventually whispered the answer in his ear.
Grande then threw her boyfriend a “curveball” in the final round by using the brand’s Blur Butter lip balm.
Alvarez still had no trouble identifying the product, giving the correct answer immediately.
“How did I do?” he asked Grande. She helped lift the beanie from his eyes before leaning in to kiss him.

Fans also noticed that Alvarez appeared to call Grande “ween” before the couple ended the video with a bonus round. This time, she attempted to trick him with the brand’s Eclipse Cheek & Lip Stick.

“Hmmm, interesting,” Alvarez said, stroking his chin. “Not one of the ones I am used to. Is it Holiday Milan?”
Grande laughed before confirming that he had identified the correct flavor of Eclipse Cheek & Lip Stick, although that particular flavor has not yet been released.
As a supportive boyfriend, Alvarez closed out the video by encouraging Grande’s 362 million followers to “shop now.”
The playful Instagram clip arrived just days after Grande shared a carousel featuring several photographs of herself and Alvarez kissing.
Her caption consisted of a heart symbol followed by three exclamation points.
Grande also included a photograph of herself kissing Alvarez on the forehead during what appeared to be a romantic date night.
The post came as Grande prepared for a planned break from the spotlight after her Eternal Sunshine tour, while continuing to spend time with Alvarez following the couple’s reunion five months earlier.
During the final show of her tour, Grande fueled speculation that she could be ready to settle down with Alvarez by changing lyrics in her songs and revealing a matching tattoo with him.
Throughout the tour, she repeatedly altered the lyrics to “Thank U, Next,” a song that references several of her former boyfriends.
Grande typically sings, “Wrote some songs about Ricky, now I listen and laugh,” but changed the line during later performances.

In September, she sparked marriage speculation by singing, “Wrote some songs about Ricky, I’m tryna make him my last.”
At her July 13 concert in New York City, Grande had previously changed the lyric to, “Wrote some songs about Ricky, we always find our way back.”
Before rekindling her relationship with Alvarez, Grande dated her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater for three years.
The couple announced their breakup earlier this year.
In June, reports said Grande and Slater had quietly ended their relationship several months earlier.
Grande was also married to real estate agent Gomez, 31, for two years before they separated in early 2023.
