Opinion: Why I'll never attend the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in person again

A few years ago, I thought I had hit the Thanksgiving jackpot when a family member scored VIP grandstand seats to see the Macy’s M Thanksgiving Day parade and invited me to tag along for the big New York event. This had been a childhood dream of mine: Nothing was now going to stand between me and all those marching bands, Broadway stars and, of course, oversized balloons.
