Trump has a framework for a TikTok deal with China, but analysts warn the devil is in the details


President Donald Trump and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Monday that the Trump administration had a preliminary agreement with Beijing on TikTok, but it wasn’t clear how the deal matches up with a 2024 law that has aimed to ban the social-media platform nationwide if it remains controlled by its Chinese parent company, ByteDance.
