Tucker Carlson set to launch his own streaming service

Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson, who left Fox News in April, is launching his own streaming service.

Carlson, who for months has been releasing video shows on Elon Musk’s X, launched a new website for the Tucker Carlson Network on Saturday, offering annual subscriptions for $72. The site says subscribers will be able to “unlock countless hours of exclusive content from Tucker Carlson and his team.”

The Wall Street Journal and the Hollywood Reporter reported late Sunday that the streaming service is expected to go live Monday.

According to the Journal, Carlson explored launching the new service through X, but X reportedly wasn’t able to build the technology needed to support a streaming service quickly enough.

“We’ve been out of work for seven or eight months now. Hard to know, time flies when you’re unemployed,” Carlson said in a video announcement Saturday. “But actually, we’ve been working in secret and producing an awful lot of material for months now — interviews, et cetera … We’re launching a brand-new thing very soon.”

According to Carlson’s website, he will continue to post clips on X and other social networks.

Fox News parted ways with the controversial prime-time host in April, shortly after the network settled a defamation lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems, and reportedly after an inflammatory text sent by Tucker was discovered by Fox executives.
