Where did all the ‘bond vigilantes’ go? Investors keep buying long-dated Treasurys.


Concerns about the U.S. fiscal outlook, along with the impact of President Donald Trump’s trade, tax and spending plans, were supposed to lead to a dramatic selloff in long-dated Treasurys this year, with investors known as bond vigilantes expected to show up in force. That hasn’t happened yet.
