With Sam Altman out, OpenAI reportedly hires former Twitch chief Emmett Shear as CEO

OpenAI has resisted efforts to rehire its recently fired chief executive and hired Emmett Shear, the former head of Twitch, Bloomberg reported on Monday.

In a shocking development, the artificial-intelligence company behind ChatGPT fired its top executive Sam Altman on Friday following a power struggle with the board, with President Greg Altman reportedly resigning. Chief Technology officer Mira Murati had been appointed interim CEO, the company said Friday.
