Elizabeth Rawlins was born in Georgia and raised there, and she spent her childhood watching WSB-TV in Atlanta. In 2012, she was allowed to intern at Channel 2 in the news and investigative department of the station.
She attended Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, Georgia, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication. She also has a minor in Political Science. In addition, she holds a Master of Education degree, which she received from the University of Georgia.
As a dayside reporter, she is responsible for delivering lead stories and pitching various stories for the 4, 5, 6, and 7 o’clock newscasts. She also generates several angles by conducting interviews, conducting research, and requesting information from the public to guarantee that stories could be maintained and teased across multiple broadcasts.
She is well-known for her ability to execute and approach breaking news coverage by improvising essential information while live shots are taken.
