What Is Frank Gore’s Net Worth and Salary?
Frank Gore is an American retired football player who has a net worth of $30 million. Frank Gore was a running back for Coral Gables High School. He was heavily recruited out of high school, was a 5-star recruit, and was ranked the #4 prospect in Florida and the #18 prospect nationally. Gore chose to stay close to home at the University of Miami to help his mother, who was battling kidney disease at the time. Frank was a standout running back for the University of Miami Hurricanes. In his freshman season, he had 820 yards with 12 touchdowns on 62 carries for an average of 9.3 yards per carry. In his senior season in 2004, Gore had nearly 1,000 rushing yards. He was selected 65th overall in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. In his time with the 49ers, Frank was selected to the Pro Bowl four times, was part of the 2012 NFC champion team, was 2006’s NFC rushing leader, and is the 49ers’ all-time leader in attempts, rushing yards, and rushing touchdowns. As a member of the 49ers, he played in Super Bowl XLVII, which the team lost to the Baltimore Ravens. Gore stayed with the 49ers until 2014, then he played for the Indianapolis Colts (2015–2017), Miami Dolphins (2018), Buffalo Bills (2019), and New York Jets (2020). Contracts, Salaries & Career Earnings
Frank Gore earned roughly $77 million in NFL salary over a 16-season career, a remarkable total for a running back given the league’s financial and physical realities at the position. He was drafted by the 49ers in 2005 and played under a series of team-friendly but steady contracts, rarely commanding headline-grabbing deals yet consistently cashing paychecks through durability and production. His largest payday came in 2015, when he signed a three-year, $12 million contract with the Colts, followed by shorter deals with the Dolphins, Bills, Jets, and one final stint in San Francisco. Gore never signed a true mega-extension, but his longevity, reliability, and ability to remain roster-worthy into his late 30s allowed him to quietly accumulate one of the highest total earnings ever for a running back.

Personal Life
When Gore was in college, his eldest son, Frank Jr., was born. Frank Jr. is also a running back, and he played for the University of Southern Mississippi before signing with the Buffalo Bills in 2024. Frank Sr. said of his son, “Whatever he wants to do, he’s going to do it; not because I played ball, he has to play ball. Me seeing him when he was a little kid playing outside with his bigger cousins, I knew he was going to play football, but if he doesn’t want to play, as long as he gets his grades and does something positive with his life, I’m okay with it.” On April 12, 2018, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez gave Gore the ‘Keys to the City’ and proclaimed it “Frank Gore Day.” Suarez stated, “This person really symbolizes the very soul of our city.
