Over the weekend Julia Roberts said that she is ‘invested’ in helping Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais find a man.
The 54-year-old Stepmom actress ran into the Jamie Foxx Show alum at Saturday’s HISTORYTalks event in Washington, D.C.
Afterward, Beauvais told Entertainment Tonight, ‘I just met Julia Roberts. She said, ‘Oh my god, I need to find you a boyfriend. I’m invested in this.”

Garcelle was so starstruck that she said afterward, ‘I can die now. I don’t even need the boyfriend.’
And in a separate interview, Julia told a news reporter: ‘She needs a boyfriend. I’m gonna be thinking about it all day.’
Garcelle, a former model in addition to a longtime actress, has two marriages under her belt.
She was married to Daniel Saunders from 1991 until 2000, and later wed Michael Nilon, but divorced in 2011.

Back in 2020 Garcelle penned an essay for People about dating as a single mother.
She wrote in the piece, ‘About a year ago, I decided to take myself off of the market, at least for the time being.
‘Once I made this choice, I felt an immense sense of relief. I felt no pressure to fill the void of a romantic relationship with somebody new. I just wanted to work on myself and be the best mom I could be.’

She elaborated, ‘By taking that anxiety out of my life, it helped me feel completely relaxed, which has gotten me to a place of being open to meeting someone.’
But she emphasized she was still perfectly fine with being single, adding, ‘While I’m not rushing to get back into another relationship, my heart is now much more open to it.’
The reality TV star also noted that going forward, she’ll be seeking ‘an emotionally healthy person.’
