Kellyanne Conway describes her horror at discovering that her 15-year-old daughter’s TikTok posts had gone viral in her new memoir, published on Tuesday, and condemns people who called the police on her family.

In ‘Here’s the Deal,’ she tells the story of her time as one of Donald Trump‘s closest advisers and dishes juicy asides on the cast of characters who rotated through the White House.

But she also describes how he marriage was derailed by her husband’s Twitter condemnation of her boss and how family life was sent into a spin when Taylor Loewnz, a New York Times reporter, shared a thread of her daughter Claudia’s anti-Trump TikTok videos.

‘My first reaction to all this was utter terror. Terror for Claudia’s safety,’ she writes.

‘Instant fame brings instant chaos, as I well know. I routinely ignored the trolls and haters who came for me online and let the Secret Service agents do their job when the threats warranted attention.

‘But now the mainstream media in pure lemming-like mob fashion had all but sent an engraved invitation to all those nutjobs to come for my child.’

Her daughter had become an overnight sensation, catapulting her into the news cycle.

‘This of course is the dream of every teenage girl who is on social media, but her parents’ nightmare,’ Conway, 55, wrote.

In her new memoir, Kellyanne Conway blasts reporter Taylor Lorenz for sending her 15-year-old daughter Claudia viral, saying the experience horrified her

She blasts Lorenz for failing to ask the permission of a minor’s parents before speaking to her and her editor for apparently backing her actions.

‘This started as a calculated move by an unethical, childless journalist who would go on to sloppily defend her misdeeds by creepily claiming that she, thirty-five years old, and Claudia, fifteen years old, were “mutuals” and “peers” and that she had “spoken with Claudia,” apparently with the approval of her editors, but not with the approval of either George or me,’ she writes.

Requests for interviews come flooding in for her daughter, she adds, heaping more pressure on the family with editors apparently ready to ignore guidelines designed to protect minors.

‘Consider this: In 2020, Claudia Marie Conway, fifteen, got more media coverage than Hunter Biden, fifty-one,’ she writes.

‘My underage daughter became news, but not Joe Biden’s dirtbag adult son, who had flown to Ukraine, China, and God knows where else, reportedly more than eighty times on the taxpayer dime, to coerce tens of millions in contracts and capital.’

With the Conways in the public spotlight, police were called to the family home in New Jersey on more than one occasion after Claudia posted video claiming abuse.

But her mother writes that the welfare checks simply increased the danger for families who really needed help.

‘I worried about my children’s physical safety and emotional health,’ she says.

‘The fools calling Child Protective Services and the police on us further harmed, not helped, Claudia, and no doubt diverted precious resources away from at-risk children in actual need of such protection and intervention.’

In August 2020 Conway announced she was leaving the White House to devote more time to her family.

That meant she was less integral to Trump’s reelection campaign than his 2016 victory, and she slams his staff and the election deniers that surrounded him in his final days in office.

‘Despite the mountains of money Trump had raised, his team simply failed to get the job done. A job that was doable and had a clear path, if followed,’ she writes.

‘Rather than accepting responsibility for the loss, they played along and lent full-throated encouragement (privately, not on TV) when Trump kept insisting he won.’

It marks her out as one of few confidantes who say he should let the 2020 result go, and she does it withering prose.

‘The team had failed on November 3, and they failed again afterward,’ she continues.

‘By not confronting the candidate with the grim reality of his situation, that the proof had not surfaced to support the claims, they denied him the evidence he sought and the respect he was due.

‘Instead supplicant after sycophant after showman genuflected in front of the Resolute Desk and promised the president goods they could not deliver.’

But much of her book is taken with the toll her role – and her family’s reaction – took on married life.

In 2019, as senior counselor to the president, she found herself talking to Trump’s daughter about the effect it was having.

Ivanka Trump explained that she understood what Conway was going through.

‘I am in a family of Democrats,’ she said, referring to at least some of the Kushners. ‘I get it.’

Trump’s daughter later handed her a Post-it note with ‘the names of two local doctors who specialized in couples therapy.’

‘I noticed she had avoided putting that in a text or an email. I appreciated the information and her thoughtfulness and wanted to pursue it,’ Conway recalled in excerpts obtained by DailyMail.com.

‘After I showed George the names, he rejected one and said a halfhearted ‘okay’ to the other while looking at his phone. We never went.

‘He spent his time exactly how he wanted to. If it was important to him, he would have made it happen.’

By this point her husband was using Twitter to keep up a running commentary on the president and his administration.

It made for a slew of headlines, as writers and commentators speculated on the state of the Conways’ marriage.

At one point, Saturday Night Live did a ‘Marriage Story’ parody of their relationship, with Scarlett Johansson playing the role of couples counselor.

In a typical example, George Conway wrote in 2019: ‘Don’t assume that the things he says and does are part of a rational plan or strategy, because they seldom are.

‘Consider them as a product of his pathologies, and they make perfect sense.’

At the time, his wife steered away from discussing their relationship or the impact of the tweets.

But in her memoir she describes how it felt like he was being unfaithful.

‘During this time, the frequency and ferocity of his tweets accelerated. Clearly, he was cheating by tweeting,’ she wrote. ‘I was having a hard time competing with his new fling.

‘I had already said publicly what I’d said privately to George: that his daily deluge of insults-by-tweet against my boss—or, as he put it sometimes, “the people in the White House”—violated our marriage vows to “love, honor, and cherish” each other.’

In particular, she said she was hurt by his move from behind the keyboard to in front of the cameras – to join MSNB’s special impeachment overage.

‘It was sneaky, almost sinister,’ she writes.
