Lauren Jauregui Considers Quitting Twitter Over Verification Policy Changes

Lauren Jauregui, the popular American singer-songwriter isn’t happy with the new policy change of Twitter and has threatened to quit Twitter. While Lauren isn’t the only one to slam the changes Twitter has been undergoing after Elon Musk took over Twitter. Recently, once again Twitter along with its new policy and its CEO has come under the radar of many users.

Well, ever since Elon Musk took over Twitter as its CEO. Things have not been going well with the users of Twitter. Majority of the Twitter users were upset about the changes Musk brought to Twitter including its policy for prepaid subscriptions for getting verified Twitter accounts. Now even Lauren Jauregui has come up with her reaction to the new policy the Twitter.

She made a tweet expressing her concern on the same saying “I just received this message when I opened Twitter…[email protected] how is this ok? When we have legitimate careers that depend on our verifications as people pretend to be me every single day on this website…..I’ve had this verification for 11 years and 2-step verification is necessary”.

After Lauren Jauregui came up with her concerns about Twitter and its new verification policy. In another tweet of her, she threatened to quit Twitter. If the platform would ask her to pay for getting verified.

She said in her tweet “For my account to not get hacked. Why the f**k would i start paying for something I’ve had for 11 years when it is an actual tool for my career? @Twitter, this is unsafe. And if this is really a thing I will be leaving Twitter cause f**k all this pay for clout sh*t”.

It isn’t just Lauren Jauregui who expressed her disappointment with Twitter and its changes. But times back celebs like Ally Brooke, Normani, Dinah Jane, and Camila Cabello too expressed their concern over the new policy change of Twitter.

While after the tweets from Lauren Jauregui on quitting Twitter some Twitter users have come in support of the singer. Back when the $8 per month subscription for verification came out for Twitter, several users protested against the same.

Not to miss, Elon Musk or the spokesperson of Twitter is yet to make any comments on the same.
