Domenica Calarco and Ella Ding know better than anybody the rigours of being on Married At First Sight.
But the two women were less than impressed with the ‘crying groom’ on the leaked trailer of the upcoming season of the show.
Speaking on their Sit With Us podcast this week, the pair took aim at the crying groom for his over-the-top emotions.
‘I just don’t understand what that is,’ Dom said. ‘It’s not that emotional come on. Maybe he is already doing it for the show.
Ella was equally unimpressed saying that fans could be in for a ‘weird’ season, adding: ‘Most of the cast already have 100,000 followers.’
Dom went on to say she believed that’s why there’s been speculation that people are only using MAFS for fame.
‘[It’s coming back up again] that people are only going on the show for fame and followers,’ she said.
Perth-based Jesse Burford breaks down in tears in a teaser trailer for the show’s next season
‘That makes me really sad as I truly went on there to actually find someone,’ she added. ‘As we know. It is really f**king hard.’
In the triler, which premiered during Channel Nine’s Upfronts, the show’s tenth series looks set to be an emotional journey for one groom.
At the beginning of the clip, Perth marriage celebrant Jesse Burford is seen dressed in a pink suit standing at the alter.
‘I don’t know where love has been hiding all these years…’ he continues before breaking down into tears on the show
‘Believe me when I say this is the best point in time for someone to be snatching me up’.
‘I don’t know where love has been hiding all these years…’ he continues before breaking down into tears.
‘I don’t know what more I could do to make my light any easier for love to find, because I swear I’m shining so brightly.’
His bride, Melbourne-based child care worker Claire Nomarhas, then replies: ‘F**k yeah, you are!’
‘I don’t know what more I could do to make my light any easier for love to find, because I swear I’m shining so brightly,’ he continues
Burford is well known in the metalcore music scene and has been performing since he was 11 years old.
Jesse has previously hosted Bingo Nights, business events and XXX adult strip shows.
Friends describe him as a ‘really fun guy’ who is ‘super chilled, considerate, honest and down to earth’.
The tenth season of Married At First Sight will premiere on Nine next year.
The newlyweds are then seen hugging while a cheery Jesse is seen grinning at a friend
