The outing comes as Mariah prepares to open the doors to her apartment – which she won’t even be at – for a few festivities.
While the idea of enjoying a weekend getaway inside her New York penthouse might seem like a dream come true… the fine print tells a very different story.

The songbird teamed up with Booking.com to give two fans the opportunity to jet off to New York City for a weekend getaway and even stay at her Tribeca penthouse – however, the ‘lucky’ people are only allowed in three rooms and the singer won’t even be in attendance, making their Christmas experience slightly less jolly.
Because the trip – which will take place between December 16 and December 19 and cost $20.19 – is curated by the popstar diva herself, it of course comes with a lengthy list of rules that may leave fans feeling the like the singer has transformed into a bit of a Scrooge.
Mariah’s ‘ultimate holiday’ experience will include an itinerary fit for a star, with a three-night stay at The Plaza, a Fairmont Hotel in the big apple, and days filled with festive attractions.
Fans will be taken on a journey through NYC, with sweeping city views, and go to some of the stars favorite spots, including dinner at her most-loved restaurants such as Nobu and Mr. Chow.

Guests will also experience a private tour of Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center, a VIP ice skating session in front of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree and access to a VIP tent.
The three-day extravaganza will also include a signed copy of the singer’s new book, The Christmas Princess, and a shopping spree at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Fans will also receive tickets to the Christmas Spectacular starring the Radio City Rockettes – as well as a VIP pre-show reception at Roxy Suite, a tour of Radio City Music Hall, and a meet-and-greet with a Radio City Rockette.
Tickets to Mariah’s Merry Christmas To All! concert at Madison Square Garden on December 16 will also be given to those who can lay their hands on the getaway.
And while holiday cheer will surely be in the air, there are a few drawbacks.
Before entering the Grammy-winning diva’s penthouse, guests will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement and hand in their cell phones.

And while the thought of even being in the same room as the singer may seem exciting enough, fans will face disappointment as Mariah Carey won’t be present during fans’ stay in her lavish apartment.
Fans will also only be able to access select areas of her penthouse – the private elevator entrance, Moroccan room, rooftop and powder room.
Since fans will be handing their cellphones in, Booking.com will provide a photographer for a photoshoot at the penthouse, however, Mariah will not be present.
And if you thought, that you’d at least live lavishly while on the ‘ultimate holiday experience’, think again, because fans will have to share a room and bed while staying at the Grand Lux King room at The Plaza, which will offer one king-sized bed to accommodate guests.
