Dr. Douglas James Allan Glass, who worked with the Sovereign for over 30 years and was with her at the hour of her demise, said her passing “was normal and we were very mindful of what planned to occur.” As per Brandreth’s book, Sovereign Elizabeth started displaying “unexpected ‘energy low’” and “felt depleted” in pre-winter 2021, as specialists requested her to “‘rest a little, not to propel herself so much, to relax.’” She in this way dropped a few appearances. “Up to that point, her energy had been minimal shy of astounding,” Brandreth composes.
