A teenage boy has died in the sea at Skegness as the UK’s heatwave death toll reaches 23.
Lincolnshire Police said: ‘A teenager has died after going into the sea in Skegness.
‘Emergency services received a report that a child under 16 was in the water at around 6.15pm on Saturday 13 August.
‘A search was carried out by police and coastguard and the boy’s body was recovered at around 11.30pm.’
It comes as tributes have flooded in for a 21-year-old man who was pulled from Doncaster Lake just hours after a swimmer in Black Country nature reserve yesterday.
Jay Walker has been described as ‘sweetheart’ by heartbroken friends and family.
