Japanese kickboxing star and ONE Championship athlete Yuki Yoza remains confident in his ability to handle any challenger in his sport — including a possible clash with Thai-Algerian standout Nabil Anane, who has quickly established himself as a dominant force.
Yoza has become one of the most exciting names in ONE’s striking divisions, impressing fans with his technical precision and explosive style.
Anane, meanwhile, has risen to the top of Muay Thai, recently becoming the undisputed ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion after decisive victories over Nico Carrillo and Superlek Kiatmoo9. The young phenom has also voiced interest in switching to kickboxing, a move that could potentially pit him against elite contenders such as Yoza.
Asked about the possibility of facing Anane in kickboxing, Yoza told the South China Morning Post:
“Yeah, I think that it’s not going to be an issue for me if it’s kickboxing, no worries. Even against Nabil.”
Before any future matchup with Anane, however, Yoza has a major challenge ahead. He is scheduled to face Thai superstar and reigning ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 in a high-profile bantamweight kickboxing bout.
The showdown will take place at the historic ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri card in Tokyo later this year. The event is set for Sunday, November 16, at the Ariake Arena, where Yoza will look to showcase his elite skills against one of the sport’s pound-for-pound greats.
Yoza’s confidence heading into the fight reflects his belief that his pure kickboxing ability will be enough to overcome any opponent, no matter how decorated.
