Bobby Flay is saying “ciao” to the Food Network.
After 27 years, the celebrity chef is departing the culinary network.
Flay, 56, recently sealed a three-year deal with the company, however, those negotiations are now dead, according to Variety.
A source close to Food Network explained to the publication that the “decision has been made to move on as the sides were far apart on financial terms.”
Flay has been part of the cable network since 1994 and has starred on several of his own eponymous shows.
The New York native has starred in shows such as “Beat Bobby Flay,” “Brunch at Bobby’s,” “Chopped,” “Iron Chef America,” “Worst Cooks in America,” “The Next Food Network Star Is…” and “The Best Thing I Ever Ate.”
Flay also fronted the series “The Flay List” with his daughter Sophie.
Aside from hosting numerous cooking shows across the decades, he is also the only chef to have his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which he received back in 2015.
Flay has written many cookbooks, such as “Bobby Flay’s Bold American Food,” “Bobby Flay’s Grilling For Life,” “Bobby Flay’s Throwdown!” and “Bobby at Home: Fearless Flavors from My Kitchen.”
The Daytime Emmy Award winner also owns several restaurants across America in areas such as Long Island, Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
