Selling Sunset star Amanza Smith has revealed that she has had an ‘amazing’ secret boyfriend for two years.
She began starring on Selling Sunset during its second season, which dropped on Netflix in late May of 2020.
Yet only now is she dishing to People about the man in her life, while insisting that they are both protecting their privacy at present.
Aglow: Selling Sunset star Amanza Smith (seen in May 2021) has revealed that she has an ‘amazing’ secret boyfriend that she has been with for two years
Although she declined to share any details about his profession, TMZ reported last year that she was involved with a professional soccer player from abroad.
‘I want to make sure that when we go public that we’re so 100% sure that nobody can affect the energy of that,’ Amanza explained to People. ‘We came to the decision together very early on that we didn’t want to be posting about our relationship on social media and being in the public. I don’t know, it’s a slippery slope.’
She showered praise on her beau, who is a father himself and who in Amanza’s estimation is ‘amazing with everything, including my children.’
Amanza shares a daughter called Noah and a son called Braker with NFL star Ralph Brown, whom she was married to from 2010 to 2012.
Insulated from public opinion: ‘I want to make sure that when we go public that we’re so 100% sure that nobody can affect the energy of that,’ Amanza explained to People
She obtained sole custody of the children this past October, claiming that she had been unable to get in touch with or locate Ralph for nearly two years and that his family ‘blocked’ her when she requested their help in finding him.
Meanwhile she gushed about her current boyfriend in her new People interview, calling him ‘just an amazing human. Hopefully, one day I will feel comfortable to share with the world, but for now, I like having him private. It’s really the only thing in my life that people don’t know about fully.’
Amanza teased: ‘I think right now it’s just become more of a fun game to keep it a secret more than anything. People have taken pictures of us when we are out in public. People know. I just choose not to purposely prance it in front of the media.’
She has also been shrinking from the possibility of nasty feedback, confessing: ‘One negative person will just make me dwell on it for the whole day. So I don’t want to have to even filter that out with my relationship.’

The reality star realtor elaborated: ‘Not everyone wishes you the best. I have a lot of fans that want to see me succeed because they’re rooting for me. I have just as many people that silently hope that I fail. I don’t want to give anybody any reason to rain on my parade because I’m really happy.’
Amanza recently had to participate in the Selling Sunset season five reunion remotely because she tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of it.
Her co-star Christine Quinn, who has become known as the villain of the show, also contracted the virus but felt too ill to join the event even virtually.
As seen in February: Amanza said of her current romance: ‘I think right now it’s just become more of a fun game to keep it a secret more than anything’
Last month Amanza also revealed on Instagram that she had gotten the word: ‘invincible,’ tattooed onto her jawline.
Amanza had been seen in December cozying up to Zac Efron in a festive group photo that included Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae Young.
The picture, which was taken at a UFC fight, set off a brief round of rumors that Amanza and Zac were an item – but sources quickly assured TMZ they were not.
