On their way home from a Christmas shopping trip, two best friends named Ellie Crossley And Rebecca Doughty died in a car accident.
When the tragedy occurred, Ellie Crossley and Rebecca Doughty were returning home after purchasing gifts for loved ones.
Last Thursday’s incident on the A5117 at Mollington, Chester, on the boundary between England and Wales is being investigated by police.
They both are 20 years old.
Ellie and Rebecca, often known as Becca, were driving home to Flintshire, North Wales, in a silver Citreon when they collided with a blue BMW at around 9.28 p.m., according to police.
The families of the girls paid tribute in a statement, “Ellie Crossley, from Holywell, and Rebecca Doughty, of Connah’s Quay, were lifelong friends.”
“The girls, both aged 20, were travelling home from a Christmas shopping trip when they were tragically involved in a fatal road traffic collision.”
“Both families, and their friends, have been left truly devastated by this tragic event and will sadly miss them.”
“Close friends for their short lives, they will be in our hearts forever.”

Witnesses and dashcam footage of the crash, which shut down the route for many hours, are being sought by police.
The driver of the BMW, a 28-year-old guy, was brought to the hospital with critical injuries after firefighters extracted him from the vehicle.
Cheshire Police stated, “Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone with any dashcam footage which may aid the investigation.”
