Who is Ali Abulaban ?
A TikTok star with nearly a million followers online pleaded not guilty Monday to shooting and killing his newly separated wife and the man he was with last week in a San Diego skyscraper.

Details were revealed during the San Diego County Superior Court arraignment for Abulaban, who pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder, as well as special circumstances allegations of multiple murders.
Brast said out of court that Abulaban, 29, is a TikTok star known as JinnKid, with more than 940,000 followers on the social media app. His account includes comedy skits and imitations of the character Tony Montana from the 1983 film “Scarface.”
Abulaban’s attorney did not comment on the allegations during the hearing.
About two dozen relatives and friends of the two victims filled the courtroom. Several of them sobbed when Brast shared details about the murders last Thursday in the East Village neighborhood of San Diego.
Brast said Ali Abulaban confessed to detectives and accused his wife of cheating, although the prosecutor said he believes Barron was a friend.
According to Brast, Ana Abulaban had asked her husband to move out on October 18. She checked into a hotel.
Three days later, Brast said, Ali Abulaban sneaked back to the apartment and trashed it while his wife was gone. He also installed the listening app on his daughter’s iPad.
Family
Hours later, Abulaban was listening to the app when he heard his wife and a man talking and laughing, Brast said, and he ran back to the skyscraper. Security camera video showed him running from the elevator to the apartment.
Brast said Abulaban shot Barron three times before shooting his wife in the head. Abulaban then called his mother and confessed, Brast said.
KFMB-TV reported that after fleeing the scene, Abulaban picked up his daughter from school and at some point told her that she “hurt mom,” Brast said. The child is now in the care of other family members.
Judge Kimberlee Lagotta ordered Abulaban to be jailed without bail. The judge also issued a protection order requiring Abulaban to stay away from his daughter, whom he is taking care of by his family.
