Who is Buk M Buk ?
A man was arrested early Sunday morning for the alleged murder of University of Utah football player Aaron Lowe, police said.

Salt Lake Police Chief Mike Brown thanked the community for sharing information about the shooting. “So many lives have been affected by this senseless shooting,” he said in a statement.
Salt Lake City arrested Buk M. Buk, 22, in connection with the death of Lowe, who died Sept. 26 after a shooting at a house party.
Buk M Buk Murder and Charged
Buk has been charged with aggravated murder, attempted murder and discharge of a firearm for a felony. He is also charged with shooting a 20-year-old woman who “underwent extension surgery” and remains in critical condition, according to police.
The shooting occurred at a house party that took place a few hours after the team beat Washington state in a game, according to police. No motive has been revealed and it is unclear if Buk is represented.

Lowe had been the first player to receive a commemorative scholarship honoring the late University of Utah player Ty Jordan, a 19-year-old who died after an accidental shooting in December 2020.The two players had been teammates in secondary school.
Suspect
Salt Lake City police identified the suspect as Buk M. Buk, 22. Authorities were able to track down the suspect in Draper early Sunday morning.
The suspect is charged with shooting and killing Lowe and shooting and seriously injuring an unidentified 20-year-old woman at a house party. The unidentified woman is currently in critical condition.
Arrested
“Detectives continue to work on all aspects of the case and will not stop until it is resolved in court,” authorities say.
Buk has been arrested on three counts including murder, aggravated murder and firing of a firearm for a felony. The suspect is currently booked into the Salt Lake County Jail.
