The oldest child and the only daughter born to a hairstylist mother, and a computer programmer father; Elisabeth has four younger brothers. Although born in Detroit, Elisabeth grew up in Los Angeles, California and went to Canyon Springs High School, located in Moreno Valley. Following her matriculation, she enrolled at Wesleyan University, from which she obtained a bachelor’s degree in film studies in 2001.
Start of an Acting Career
Her film studies were a result of an already developed love for acting; she made her debut at just six years old, as Abbie Granger in the film “One Magic Christmas” (1985), and the following year co-starred in the thriller drama film “Where Are the Children?”, next to Jill Clayburgh, Max Gail and Harley Cross, after which she was the voice role of Zoe Young in the animated TV series “Fantastic Max” (1988-1989). At the start of the ‘90s, she was cast in the part of Emily in the live-action TV series “Timeless Tales from Hallmark”, but it was in 1992, that Emily got the part that changed her life.
