Scarlett Hannah Byrne was born on 6 October 1990, in Hammersmith, London, England, and is an actress, probably best known for being a part of the “Harry Potter” series, playing the role of Pansy Parkinson. She’s also appeared in projects including “The Vampire Diaries” in which she played Nora Hildegard.

How rich is Scarlett Byrne? As of early-2019, sources estimate a net worth that is close to $1 million, earned through a successful career in acting. Her wealth has also likely increased thanks to the inheritance of her fiancée Cooper Hefner, who is the son of Hugh Hefner, and reportedly inherited his father’s $43 million estate. However, as she continues her endeavors, it is expected that her personal wealth will also continue to increase.

Career Beginnings and Harry Potter

Very little information is available about Scarlett’s childhood, family and education. It is known that she began her career in 2005, playing a role in the short film entitled “CryBaby”, and then appeared in the role of Chloe Daniels in the British television series “Doctors”; the medical soap opera aired on BBC has been running since 2000, set in the fictional town of Letherbridge.

In 2009, her popularity immediately increased when she was cast in the role of Pansy Parkinson in the “Harry Potter” film franchise, during the sixth film “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”. Her character was a prefect, and during the same year became a part of the short-lived Inquisitorial Squad. She reprised her role in the next two films – “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” which was aired in two parts. She had a notable line in which she spoke up in favor of turning Harry Potter over to Lord Voldemort – her character is known to have survived the entire ordeal against Voldemort.

After her run with the “Harry Potter” franchise, Byrne appeared in the television film entitled “Lake Placid: The Final Chapter” in which she played the role of Brittany. The horror film is the fourth installment of the franchise. and was intended as a final installment of the series but was later followed up by two sequels. During this period, she also frequently collaborated with fellow “Harry Potter” actor Jessie Cave in several short videos she had written for the website Pindippy.

In 2013, she appeared in the short film “Lashes” as the character Sarah. Her next notable project in a regular role was the fourth season of the television show “Falling Skies”. She moved to Vancouver for the filming of the series, but only stayed for one season, although reprising her character during the final episode of the series. The show is a post apocalypse series produced by Steven Spielberg following the story of a former history professor who becomes the second in command for a militia regiment after an alien invasion devastates the planet.

Recent Projects

In 2015, Scarlett joined the cast of “The Vampire Diaries” in which she played Nora Hildegard, based on the popular book series of the same name by L.J. Smith, and starred Nina Dobrev, a witch-vampire hybrid and heretic;  Scarlett was a recurring character during the show’s seventh season, appearing in a total of 12 episodes, but was killed off during the same season. She then had a guest role in the comedy show “Mary + Jane” which aired on MTV, produced by rapper Snoop Dogg and starring Jessica Rothe. The show was short lived, only airing for one season.

In 2017, she appeared in the film “Skybound” playing the role of Lisa alongside Gavin Stenhouse, and the following year in the television show “Dancing with the Stars”, a competition series featuring celebrities paired with professional dancers, who perform dances in hopes of getting judge and audience votes to reach the next stage of the competition, continuing until one pair is declared the winner. During the show, she joined “Harry Potter” actress Evanna Lynch and her partner Keo Motsope in a trios dance during the fourth week of the competition.

Personal Life and Playboy

For her personal life, it is known that Byrne became engaged to Cooper Hefner in 2015 while the two were at London. He is a businessman and writer, best known for being the chief of global partnerships of Playboy Enterprises, the company that his father Hugh Hefner built. He was the previous chief creative officer of the company, and was also the founder of the startup company called Hop. Two years after their engagement, she posed nude for the magazine “Playboy” and her appearance in the publication attracted significant attention thanks to her previous association with “Harry Potter”.

She mentions on her “Playboy” profile that she owns a German Shepherd named Bigby whom she really loves; the couple have appeared together in various events for the company and have posed with other popular “Playboy” models. According to her, she agreed to pose nude for the magazine to support her fiancée, and also as a way of making her statement for equality. She mentioned that being a part of the magazine meant that she would be included in the conversation about women in today’s society. She also mentioned that comparing magazines like “Playboy” to “Men’s Health”, it is magazines showing the female body that are often treated with blinders.
